About Shoelaces for Josie

About Shoelaces for Josie: My relationship with Shoelaces started in early 2007 as a college senior staring down the barrel of a completely fuzzy and out of focus future. I wanted a place to write about life – mine, yours, Great Uncle Smitty and Crazy Aunt Helda – and so I did and here we are.

About the author: That’s me, yep. Generally known as Erica, by some as Red and occassionally Iowa – I’ve discovered a name doesn’t mean much at all just as long as the person underneath it is a class act. I could carry on here and elaborate about all the finer points of Yours Truly but, in a nutshell, I’m just a girl who likes to write about life. Read my blog…that’s what it is there for.

About the reader: Hey…that’s you! You’re probably a person who likes to laugh, because sometimes Shoelaces is funny. And I bet you’re probably a person who gets a little sad at times, because occasionally Shoelaces is a little teary-eyed. And maybe you’re a person who likes to get a little perspective, because even though Shoelaces is short on answers, it’s long on trying to see a problem through a different window. And perhaps you’re just a person. That’s okay; I’m just a person too…a person who’d like to thank you for stopping by.

Words That Might Mean Something

If heartaches were horses and hard times were cattle, I'd ride home at sunset sittin' tall in the saddle. ~ George Strait
